Anemone
Anemone (also called wind flower, from the Greek - daughter of the wind) is a genus of plants in the buttercup family Ranunculaceae. This traditional English garden flower carries huge sentimental value for many and is often chosen because it was 'Grandma’s favourite'. Nowadays, with the growing popularity of country flowers, they are enjoying a renaissance.
Not only beautiful in shades of violet, pink, red and white, with their delicate, feathery petals, they have remarkable staying power, making them excellent fresh cut flowers for wedding centerpieces and bouquets. For table decoration, they look best in mixed bunches, packed closely into a modern tank vase. Centres are typically black or green with yellow fringe.
