Bluebell
Scilla, commonly called bluebell or common bluebell, is a genus of bulb-forming perennial herbs in the family Asparagaceae, subfamily Scilloideae, native to woodlands, sub-alpine meadows and seashores throughout Europe, Africa and the Middle-East. Despite the species name of Scilla Peruviana and common names to match, this is neither a native of Peru nor of Cuba. The unlikely name is due to them originally arriving in Bristol on a ship called 'Peru' from the Mediterranean (not South America).
