Feathers
Feathers, so popular in the 20s when used to make boas and headbands, are much in demand today to include in floral arrangements and bouquets or to use in place of flowers altogether. Choose from ostrich, goose, diamond, fluff, diamante, spray and flower feathers. Feathers are easy to wire up and use as an embellishment to any floral table arrangement or bouquet, or used without flowers to create a fully feathered posy or bouquet.
Fluff feathers are a firm favourite with florists, they are perfect for bridal presentations, bouquets and decorative or fun pieces and available in a wide variety of vibrant and pastel colours to mix and match. If you’re looking for something relatively inexpensive, eye-catching and unusual to dress up a bouquet try feathers. A few large fluffy feathers, such as ostrich feathers, will create a soft, elegant look. Diamante encrusted feathers are a fabulous way to bring a bit of glitz to wedding designs and available in colours to tone, contrast or complement any wedding theme. Fluff feathers, diamond feathers and diamante feathers are all ideal for creating fascinators, adding to headbands, buttonholes and corsages or for dressing up bridal shoes and hats.
Tiny feathers provide a quick and easy way to dress up and decorate wedding invitations and cards or used to decorate the inside of wine glasses. Many varieties lend themselves to being used to decorate wedding dresses, bridal bouquets, head-dresses and reception table arrangements. Diamante feathers are particularly popular for bridal work. Our diamante feather bunches have pliable stems that can be unwound to use the individual feathers. Perfect for constructing bridal fascinators and head dresses or adorning bridal wear and bouquets. Larger feathers are a wonderful addition to a floral table centrepiece or display.
For something completely different at Christmas time, consider making a beautiful feather wreath by attaching feathers to a simple wicker wreath ring, adding layers until you are satisfied with the result and finishing off with a pretty bow at the bottom.
