Lily Of The Valley
Lily of the valley (convallaria), is the only species in the Rescaceae family, native to woodlands in the Northern Hemisphere. Other common names for convallaria are May lily, May bells, ladder to heaven, male lily and lily constancy.
Charming bell-like flowers with a sweet scent that is the very essence of spring. A very popular wedding flower, white lily of the valley adds an elegant touch to any table centerpiece, wedding bouquet, or flower arrangement. In 2011 Lily of the Valley was made famous for it's inclusion in Kate Middleton's wedding bouquet. Lily of the vlley has a short vase life and should not be depended upon for any longer than the intended day of use.
Cut stems at an angle with a sharp knife. Fill containers with fresh water and add flower food, leave to condition before using. All parts of the plant are considered poisonous if ingested.
